CHAIR ( 03 )

The most recent CHAIR ( 03 ) feels less like an object and more like a quiet evolution. Carved from limestone and cherry wood, the piece carries a sense of continuity with the studio’s previous collection, extending its language rather than redefining it.The cherry wood, found and carefully sculpted by hand, retains its natural irregularities—knots, marks, and subtle traces of time that give it a poetic depth. These imperfections are not corrected but embraced, allowing the material to speak with honesty and warmth. Each curve follows the grain rather than imposing upon it, resulting in a form that feels both intentional and organic. In contrast, the limestone base grounds the chair with a quiet solidity. Its mineral surface, cool and textured, balances the warmth of the wood, creating a dialogue between weight and lightness, permanence and growth. There is a sense that this chair has always existed, as if it has been uncovered rather than made. It echoes the studio’s ongoing exploration of raw materials and intuitive craftsmanship, offering a piece that is both sculptural and deeply human—an object that invites touch, pause, and reflection.
