Rectangular Box Made of Solid Wood, 1960s

In the 1960s, utilitarian design favored clean lines and compact volumes. This rectangular box made of solid wood fits into this functional logic, without superfluous decorative effects. Produced in the 1960s. Solid wood stained dark brown with a satin finish that reveals the grain. Simple and precise assembly. Integrated, continuous metal hinge at the back. Natural wood interior, unlined. Understated construction, designed to last.

The condition is good. Some visible signs of wear on the surface, consistent with its age. Even patina. Clean interior. Functional hinge. Its proportions — 19 cm long, 10 cm wide and 5.5 cm high — make it an easy size to integrate on a desk or shelf. A discreet piece. Ideal for storing folded documents, jewelry or everyday accessories, in a restrained modernist style.
