Solid Oak Coffee Table – BLEO Series

The BLEO Coffee Table by Daniel Couttolenc is a sculptural solid oak coffee table built from an interconnected composition of spheres and hemispheres — a cloud-like arrangement of forms that resolves, at 87 × 87 × 34 cm, into a generous and usable surface. The piece reads differently from every angle: from above, a pattern of circles; from the side, a sequence of volumes in dialogue.

The cream wash tint finish softens the oak’s grain into warmth, making the whole feel approachable and unhurried. BLEO is rooted in the sphere — a form whose perfect geometry has resonated across nature and culture for millennia. Each piece in the collection is built from that primary form and its half: the hemisphere. Proportioned according to the golden ratio, the relationships between volumes are calculated to produce a sense of resolved harmony, the same quality found in a well-composed piece of music. Handcrafted in Mexico in solid oak, the wood is worked to reveal the interplay of curved and flat surfaces — the way light moves differently across a hemisphere than across a plane.

The cream wash tint finish softens the grain into warmth and quiet, making the piece feel at home in natural, pale, or pared-back interiors. BLEO Coffee Table anchors a living space — large enough to hold a room on its own, considered enough not to dominate it. Also available in a black finish; customisation is available upon request. Daniel Couttolenc is a Mexican designer whose practice spans industrial design, interior architecture, and collectible furniture. Each piece begins as an impression and takes shape through sacred geometry — the universal patterns through which nature organises itself. His work is made in Mexico and available through select international galleries.
